Try out the Joomla Demo

Have you tried out the Joomla demo? There is a full working version available through the Joomla website. It’s a good way to get a feel for the cms without installing your own version. You will be required to register with a valid email address to use the demo version.

Subscribe to Automatic Security Updates

On the download page for Joomla you will see a message prompting you to: Enter your email address to receive automatic security updates. It is strongly recommended that you add your email to be able to keep your Joomla installation up to date and secure.

Make Sure Your Getting the Latest Version

The only way to be absolutely certain that you are getting the latest version of Joomla is to download the files through the official Joomla website. (Note: If you do download an older version of the Joomla program you will need to update the package straight away. Not doing so can leave your website open to security vulnerabilities).
